Recluse Club is a ridiculous name.

By definition, a club isn’t quite something a recluse would find interest in. But those with strong personal style are in many ways recluses of their own, shutting out the notion of following trends and social expectations through their style.

Many trailblazers in society were Recluses. Stanley Kubrick, Lauryn Hill, David Bowie, and Howard Hughes to name a few.

Recluse Club was founded with this belief, rejecting the political notion that one needs to dress a specific way for their gender, age, or occupation. Rather, our suits are for everyone. We strive to make everyday clothing one can wear as a shield, second skin or costume for whatever out-of-the-norm character they feel like playing that day. Personal style and life lasting clothing is at the core of our brand.

Recluse (n.) [ a person who lives a solitary life and tends to avoid other people ] spoke to our founder Bunny Cohle because of her withdrawal from typical style and deep longing for home AKA, the Recluse Mansion. Her little apartment in New York City is the secret lair where she crafts each piece by hand. Since childhood, she struggled with  speaking amongst big groups of people and networking. Therefore, she found a way to speak to others through her costumes, wardrobe and style. Recluse is a reflection of this.

Those who wear our clothes are inducted into our brand club.

We deeply appreciate your support in visiting our page, purchasing our clothing and fueling the fire to keep creating more. To all of our recluses, thank you!
